Going to try adding a darker background to give a better contrast to the fur and teeth.. scanner didnt pick it up enough.

Might also add more to the bottom (on another sheet of paper) in order to give his body more definition and clarity. Reference from a very poor quality newspaper cutting ^^

I have always been a fan of this incredible artist, but when I saw this I was blown away! This is my favourite animal drawing on DeviantArt. The deatail is perfect, the whiskers seem three dimensional, and the eyes are fierce. The shading is blended beautifully; which is such a difficult thing to do right, and it creates the right amount of depth.
The drawing to me does not appear perfectly in proportion, such as its mouth seems to face a slightly different way to the rest of the head.Although that is not very obvious and roaring animals are hard to draw as they're faces scrunch up!
Altogether this is practically perfect, the composition, the tones and deatail. This artists deserves alot more attention than he gets.

:wow: amazing work with a great technic! I love tigers and I love how the fur looks...very real. But I agree with you, you can't see the teeth very well so adding a background would be nice...but I don't think you should make it very dark :hmm:

Aye, I'm fairly 50/50 on what to do. Anything that Ive added digitally has looked fairly poor, but more subtle pencils may be the better option.

Though tbh I could just try going over them with say a 2b just to give that very slight definition.

Do what you think is best. You could also leave it this way...it doesn't really bother me.
